The Mighty Pines
I had one question as I was pulling into Bean Blossom, Indiana for this year’s John Hartford Memorial Festival. “Can they keep the spirit of this thing alive with continued success?” There is something different and special happening in this event, and we all know what happens when beautiful special things really take off and become tremendously successful. I didn’t doubt that I was about to take part in something truly good, but I was – let’s say worried. I don’t want to see this festival lose its way.
The third annual Homegrown is relocating to Fayetteville! Continuing our mission of bringing live music to the Ozarks in a sustainable and responsible way, we are thrilled to host this years’ festival right here in our hometown. There are other exciting changes to the festival besides the location, please see festival details below.
Presented by local promoters, Chilibone Productions, Homegrown is a three day music festival to be held at Kessler Mountain Regional Park, June 22-24, 2018.
Entry is FREE!
On May 18th, The Mighty Pines will release their first live album, The Mighty Pines Live. Derived from two performances in St. Louis, the album captures their passionate live show in a 13-song compilation. A summer tour will support the release. Track listing and upcoming tour dates are listed below.
About The Mighty Pines
The Mighty Pines are a fierce roots band making music inspired by the wide rivers and red-brick streets of St. Louis. For over four years they’ve been fashioning their distinctive heartland sound. The music is fresh: bluegrass meets acoustic soul and rock & roll. With their genre bending original songs the band bridges the gap between groove and grass, between country and funk, between blues and folk.
